INOVA Federal Credit Union introduces new WI-FI service along RiverWalk

INOVA Federal Credit Union is now providing free, high-speed internet service, WI-FI, along the RiverWalk in downtown Elkhart. INOVA is working together with the City of Elkhart and Maplenet Wireless to provide service for users to connect to the internet securely through wireless networking technology.

By partnering with the City of Elkhart to provide this service, INOVA hopes to help promote the growth and future development of the downtown area. It is designed to encourage use of the RiverWalk by visitors, IU Elkhart students, and patrons of businesses in the immediate downtown.

Representatives from the City of Elkhart and INOVA FCU introduced this exciting new WI-FI service today at a press conference held at the Civic Plaza in downtown Elkhart. Greg Gruber, Chief Financial Officer from INOVA said, “Our hope, at INOVA Federal Credit Union, is that this will be another reason for people to spend more time downtown.” He added, “The WI-FI access will serve as a wonderful amenity for all the current and future students at the IU Elkhart campus.”

Dallas Bergl, President/CEO of INOVA FCU stated, “I would like to thank Mayor Miller for leading the development of the RiverWalk wireless connection that will be free to the public. This is another great example of how a public and private partnership, when executed well, can benefit a large number of people.”

WI-FI has been available at the INOVA Corporate Office in downtown Elkhart and two branch locations for several years.
