INOVA FCU hosts Blood Drive at Corporate Office

Elkhart, IN – INOVA Federal Credit Union works to increase awareness of the importance of blood donation by hosting a blood drive.

INOVA FCU partnered with the South Bend Medical Foundation to sponsor a community blood drive. Employees and members alike were encouraged to participate in this daylong event held on July 20, 2007.

“Our employees continue to come up with ways in which we are able to help out in our community, and this was no exception”, says Dallas Bergl, President and CEO of INOVA Federal Credit Union. Credit Union employee, Maureen Hughes, coordinated the event and recruited volunteers to donate blood. In total, thirty-four volunteers donated twenty-six units of blood (3.25 gallons) during the blood drive. Each unit of blood can be used to save three lives.
