FAQ

You may have questions relating to your accounts or our services as a result of our name change.  We thought of a few questions you might have and decided to send you some answers.  If you have other questions, please give us a call at 800-826-5465.

Will this affect my direct deposit?
No, our routing and transit numbers will stay the same, so your direct deposit will not be affected by our name change.

Will this affect any automatic payments that come out of the account?
No, your payments will continue to come out of your account as they always did- unless you request a change.

Is the routing number changing?
No, the routing number will stay the same.

Will my account number change? 
No, your account number will not change.

Does Inova mean something?  Where did you get that name?  Why did you choose Inova?
Inova is a word we created to signify the direction we feel our credit union is moving. We chose a combination of the words innovation and ovation to communicate a dynamic operation that looks toward the future and embraces new technology while continuing to maintain a high level of soundness.

Why is the credit union changing their name?
As our membership continues to grow and expand geographically, we felt it was time our name reflected our expansion.  We have a sense that our name needs to reflect the future of this credit union at a time when we are seeing significant changes to our core sponsor group.  As Bayer Corporation continues to make changes to their operations, we wanted to make sure our members know we are looking to the future and are committed to maintaining our mission of “improving our members financial well-being”.

Did you go through another merger?
No, this name change was not the result of a merger. 

Did the credit union get sold to someone else?
No, a credit union is a not-for-profit, financial cooperative, owned and operated by you- our members. 

Will I get a new Visa Credit/Debit or ATM card?
As the cards in circulation expire, we will re-issue cards with the new name and logo.  Your existing card will continue to work until this occurs.

Do I need to order new checks?
No, you will not need to order new checks.  Your current checks will continue to be accepted and at the time of re-order you will receive the new name and logo on your checks.

Will I still be able to access my account via the website and home banking?
Yes, you will still be able to access your account via our website.  Our web address will change to www.inovafcu.org, but www.bayerfcu.org and www.michianacu.org will still direct you to the new Inova FCU site during the transition.
